Water issues

Firstly, happy twenty-forth birthday to my beloved. Sadly he is at work today, as he couldn’t get it off on holiday and as such he hasn’t been able to wear the ‘Save Ferris’ t-shirt I got him. I was trumped, as usual, by Charles, who got him ‘Bop it!’ the ludicrously addictive game! Well, I have been highly remiss in posting lately. I apologise profusely, and unreservedly of course. On Friday things all went a bit Pete Tong (hence my lack of PRSD article as well as posts) as the torrential rain began pouring in to ourĀ ‘out house’ but of the house through the little window. A bit of further investigation showed me that the cause of this was the gutter at the back being blocked and braking under the weight of water. Clearing this blockage did little to help, however, so when Mr C got home we carried on trying to clear it – which involved Chicken in the tiny lowered gap bit behind the ‘out house’ and the wall scooping out mud and rubbish (including a large black bin bag containing goodness knows what). We soon discovered that as well as this lower blockage the downpipe from the flat roof was completely filled with cob nuts and the like (cob nuts being hazelnuts to you who have always lived in England, by the way). With Dad also helping out we sawed the pipe in the pouring rain and eventually got the flow back again. The whole gutter needs replacing at some point soon, though – joy! We also have our ‘new’ car now, Mum’s old Peugeot 307 and have booked a November holiday (long weekend) to Amsterdam with Si and Sarah. Exciting stuff. Tonight Mr C has asked to go to the Jack Russell for his birthday tea and shortly I have training in South Molton, so more anon. Hopefully, at some point, one day… |

Oh, you better have one of my gummy bears then! Have a great evening guys, much love
