Thursday, yes I do! I know it seems a bit of a jump from 'no gardening whatsoever to allotment!' but there you go!Oh how I miss Christopher Ecclestone...

Chaz, I will put in rhubarb, my Dad is going to split his established plants in Sept and I can have some then. We have gooseberries but the lorry load at my Nan's, but redcurrants sound a good idea. I am also planning to plant gladioli - a favourite of Mum's and myself, and as I got 100 bulbs for the same price a bunch is currently fetching I thought it was worth a try! I am sorry to hear about the building site, tho'.

Your bro liked the window bit as well! Yes, the Rose bit was interesting, esp her disappearing in to thin air! I really can't get on with it at the moment - I prefer the fact that the Catherine Tate character isn't falling over herself trying to bed the Doctor, a more 'traditional' Who-kick, but I can't stand the character otherwise. Also, it is just so naff now. Watchable, but naff... We're just hoping for some old-style brilliance from Stephen Moffat this season! Plus, I am not at all looking forward to this whole daughter story line, it just seems wrong!!!

Hmm,having been away from the 'puter for a few days I see the world has moved on.

Great news about the allotment, have you planted Dad's parsley/mesclun from Christmas? Guess it may be a bit early. Try gooseberries and red currents too, hard to get in the shops/markets, but delicious, also rhubarb. Why not a row of flowers for picking for the house, oh you get the picture. Is a pond permissible on am allotment (for that Christmas carp!)?
The potentila allotment here at hatches is just disappearing under abuilding lot, a real scorched earth policy, apparently the conservation area status dictates that a hundred year old hedge and a couple of apple trees as well as a lovely dark lilac are all surplus to requirements, so much for the Chilterns protection area. Razed/scorched earth is the policy here, still the rumble of machinery arriving at 7.30 was a good accompaniment to the bath, thought I had acquired a spa, the house was shaking so much.
Dr Who; you could be right. I was just waiting for him to offer this week's lava beasts a jelly baby or two, bring back the jelly babies I say. Last week's (the one I assume you are referring to) had the brilliant laugh out loud bit of mugging through the windows, completely ignoring the baddies. I thought that made it all worth while. Katherine Tate, not sure, but we did have the momentary reappearance of Rose to ponder, yheah! Too easily pleased?

You have an allotment?!! That's serious stuff. I'm with you on the gardening thing - years ago, I used to trail round garden centres with my mum, utterly bored, until I started myself. I love it. I stopped watching Dr Who after Christopher Eccleston left - I could watch that man all day.
