Birthday Boys

A small cakeLife is hectic here at the moment.

Friday was Alex’s birthday and we went to see him after the car went in. We all had a smashing curry to celebrate. We had Alex’s birthday night out on Saturday, which was good fun (reminded us that we really are “pub” people rather than “club” people, though). On Sunday we had a trip up to Mortehoe and I played a lot on my OotP game.

After the far to short weekend, yesterday I had the little people for the day. My friend Andrew was visiting the South West again, and came up from Exeter to join us. We had a trip to Instow beach and a ice cream at Fremington Quay cafe, which was very pleasant. After Andrew braved the return trip to the county capital, we all headed off for a joint meal for Simon (forty on Thursday) and Alex at the Barum Gate. It was nice and we enjoyed embarrassing them by singing happy birthday before the gorgeous M&S choccie cake my sis-in-law had got!

Today, of course, I am off to Bideford and Alex and Chicken await the new server with bated breath!
