Drip, drip, drip little July “showers”

I will write my review of the previously mentioned book shortly, but at the moment I am still deciding what I think… It was sunny yesterday, which was a lovely change. Now, we are back to drizzle and grey. At least we might actually take some notice of the global warming warnings (what a horrible way of putting, Jess…) now, if instead of the predicted heatwave we get miserable Irish-style weather… At least we are not flooded, anyway. Speak of Eire, Chris and I took advantage of the sale by one of the less than scrupulous budget airlines to get flights to Dublin this winter for £40 there and back (that’s the total, with tax)! We have booked a double en suite room at a hostel I used to use when I went gigging in the capital, Kinlay House. That was also pretty low in the budget stakes, so we can have a nice holiday in the darker months of the year. We are looking forward to it. Nothing much else to report, was volunteering yesterday and will be later today, then heading over to the ‘Bridge to help mum with the little people, who are on their summer hols as of today. Oh, and Chicken looks very lovely in his new glazzies! |
