A “Device” has been found in Piccadilly Circus over night. Seems all very odd. Is it a jab at Brown? Is it a jab a theatre-goers? Only time will tell. A rather curt gentleman informed the Beeb this morning that despite the “pressures of 24-hour news” it was be “counterproductive to speculate at this time”.

The new Cabinet was formed yesterday. It included a few surprises (Jacqui Smith and the lack of decent post for Hillary Benn) and a few no-brainers (bye bye Reid, hello Darling and Miliband). It will be interesting to see how things go whilst they get bedded in…

The rain has come back today, but we escaped it mostly yesterday, which was unexpected. Got some washing done, hooray. I do wish we could have some proper summer tho’, I currently feel like I have been transported back to Eire…

The weekend promises a big house tidy, a lot of sleeping and the possible purchase of a Wii.
