Revolutionary Rants

Well, it is the longest day of the year. The summer solstice. And it is a miserable day, rain rain rain all the way… Yesterday was productive and busy. I volunteered at my Barnstaple position, which was as busy as I have ever seen it. The word was this was because there was a roast turkey dinner for the main meal!

After I finished up there I went off to Swimbridge and walked Dexter. Then I collected the kids from school. After their tea they pottled around ’til their mum got home and I headed off.

I returned home to a lovely meal of baked rainbow trout with garlic and tyme and stir-fried long-stemmed broccoli, asparagus and red chilli. The boy really can cook, just wish he did more often! Well, it was a delicious treat.

Mum and Alex are back from Paris and have had a good time. They have returned, as you always seem to post-holiday, to rain and cold. Oh well. Poor bastards at Glasto, that’s what I say.

Poor bastards in the Lib Dems as well. Not only are they in the Lib Dems and have the on-going embarrassment that is Lembit “Cheeky Girl lover” Opik they also are now having to tout out Paddy Ashdown to the Labour Party. Is Brown trying to overshadow Blair’s exit? Are the Lib Dems trying desperately to get some publicity? Who knows…

Not many plans for today, returning the Wii to our kid and probably picking up the little people again. Tomorrow it is probably gonna be eviction night and a take-away with Alex and Mr C and then Andrew is visiting Exeter over the weekend, so a trip there on Saturday.
