A Baggy weekend

Finally a proper episode of Doctor Who! Blink was the best “new” episode since The Empty Child (also written by Stephen Moffat) and had us pretty scared!!! I even screamed at one point… Brilliant stuff. It was a great weekend all round. On Saturday we began lazily - as is our wont - and then went in to town. We spent some of our wedding vouchers and had the obligatory iced coffee/smoothie from Mundo. After that we hopped into the Wagon R and headed off to Baggy Point near Croyde. We walked along the coast, but not quite to the Point itself as the call of a bench wih an amazing view was to strong for us. On our way home we stopped at the Tarka Inn. We had planned on just having a pint, but we were hungry so we tried out the food; sadly, that was not up to much. But, the view was amazing. Yesterday we were woken by a call to help catch an ill sheep. We headed up to Nan’s and managed to catch the sheep with Dad, as she helpfully separated herself and went exactly where we wanted her to go! She seems ok now, as well. Speaking of animals, Mary, the deer I mentioned last week was caught, also, and had the bird feeder removed. After that we became sad old married people and went to evil capitalist DIY type shop in green to but herbs, compost and flower pots. After a trip to the other evil capitalist shop with more food in it we headed to Swimbridge for a BBQ with my brother and family. After a very pleasant evening we headed home to an earlier night. Still feel tired today, though! |
