Another of these list things doing the rounds on the inter-web. I likes lists.

Ten Simple Pleasures:

1. Driving on a sunny day with the Manics blasting out of the stereo

2. Being lazy on a Saturday morning, eating poached egg and drinking strong coffee

3. Painting walls well

4. A bowl of spaghetti puttanesca

5. Reading a good book and disappearing into its world for a little while

6. Watching Le Fabuleux Destin d’Amelie Poulain and almost not needing the subtitles anymore because we have watched it so many times

7. Going to sleep knowing that the alarm won’t go off in the morning

8. Holding Mr C’s hand when we are out and about in the world

9. A cup of Yorkshire tea

10. Standing on Castle Hill, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire; quite alone and seeing how beautiful the dirty old town actually can be
