Revolutionary Rants

Because Everything’s Political

A room with a view

I cannot be bothered writing out all the details of our wonderful honeymoon, and as pictures tell more than a thousand words this will hopefully do the job better for me anyway!

We had a room -

Esmeralda room

With a view -
Notre Dame from our window

We went for three excellent meals (below is Balzac’s old haunt, where we had a lovely menu and the best creme brulee) and one awful one (the waiter broke a glass in Mr C’s face and was generally rude) -

The Procope

We went to see the gargoyles and bells of Notre Dame -

Pensieve

The Tour Effiel as it got dark (and afterwards helped out a lost Canadian kid) -

The statue of light

The Catacombs or, as it says, the ‘Empire of Death’! -

The sign

Where we made some new acquaintances -

Heart of skulls

And the Cemetery of Montpernasse, where I paid homage to two heroes -

Grave

We also saw the Arc de Triomphe, the Place de Concorde, Montmartre, Shakespeare and co. and much, much more. Very romantic, very us!
