Revolutionary Rants

It is the first ballot in the French Presidential election today (the second, we have just realised, is the day before we arrive in Paris for our holiday, so the city may be nursing a hang-over the day of our arrival!). I am hoping against hope for a Mme Royal victory, but I doubt she has a chance. It has been an interesting election so far, and it is good that Le Pen seems to have been nudged out of it.

My cough is still annoying, but improved by actually sleeping a bit last night.  Yesterday I felt awful, and we headed off in to town to get Chicken some shoes for the wedding (what else?) and other bits. Today, we are off to my niece’s sixth birthday party. It may not be quite 26.2 miles, but it’ll still be a busy day!
