Oh crumbs, there is going to be a film version of Brideshead Revisited. WHY? For one thing, you cannot possibly get the atmosphere or scope of the book in to two hours, for another how could you improve on the 1981 telly version? Even Anthony Andrews was watchable in that… I am not normally that keen on Jeremy Irons, bit he is Charles Rider. Nope, I am not happy, although the idea of Mr Gambon as Lord Marchmain is quite amusing…

Off up to the caravan today with Mum and the kids, Chicken will join us at lunch-time, once he finishes at work. Good weather promised for the weekend, hooray!
