Revolutionary Rants

Because Everything’s Political

Suits you, Sir!

A suit jacketWell, a sad thing has happened; we have given up on our erstwhile favourite. We decided that the last series of Dr Who put us off and we didn’t even bother watching the first episode of the new series on Saturday evening. We just couldn’t be arsed. I completed Spyro the Dragon: a New Beginning instead. That was also below par for that series of games, but that is another story. Now I have to try to get my act together and finish Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, which is bloody hard. Damn Herbology level…

Anyhoo, it was a quiet enough weekend. On Friday afternoon we had a shop and a pint in Barnstaple and Alex stayed over so on Saturday we could head to Exeter. Chicken did his first ever motorway drive although we failed in our mission to get a suit for him or Al for the wedding. We did, however, get some nice stuff in T K Maxx, had a lovely lunch at Herbies and searched high and low all across Exeter for said suits.

Yesterday we visited that caravan to get it sorted then Chicken had a roast chicken dinner and we watched the ever fascinating Louis Theroux. Looking forward to the Easter weekend as we have friends visiting from Huddersfield and we hope to go for a night on the tiles with them, Alex and others.

What was the sad thing? That you went shopping at TK Maxx after the whole credit card information hacking thing? You really must try to break this addiction to big evil capitalist stuff, shop local. I know I keep saying it, but you really can’t go on having the ‘best’ of both worlds.
The Doctor was excellent as was the second series… Jim has it on DVD by the way so all is not lost.
I didn’t realize Louis had a sister…

Just one more reply before I move to a kabbutz in order to live up to your ideals of my political beliefs. I mean, buying fair trade and Spar must make the world of difference…

We watched the second series and we didn’t enjoy it that much. Lovely tho’ Tennant is I can’t bear all this getting off with side-kicks stuff. Chris, I think, merely can’t stand Tennant.

Thanks for the comment you left earlier. Absolutely loved ‘Prick Up Your Ears,’ though I found parts of it quite hard to watch.

You should try giving series three of Doctor Who a chance. I was quite sceptical before it started, but the first episode was much better than I was expecting. Gareth Roberts is writing next week’s as well, and he’s usually good.

Glad you enjoyed ‘P.U.Y.E’, altho’ it is hard viewing. Amazing lead performances, too, tho’.

I might just give it a go next week, I’ve seen in the advert DT has his specs on for parts of it and that is always hard to resist. Plus I hear Martha is really quite good.

Thanks for looking by :-)
