Some little sh*ts threw stones at the back of our house yesterday. Gave me a real fright, featuring a big jump, when the stones rocketed off the the back wall (as they failed to hit their apparent target, the bathroom window). We will have to hope they don’t come back, I suppose, as we quite like having a fully functioning window in the shower area…
Mr Chicken’s training has been put back a couple of weeks as he needs a higher level. He’ll be going mid-March now. Still, we are off to London this Saturday and travelling off to Buckinghamshire via Reading tomorrow afternoon. We are really looking forward to seeing Chicken’s brother, sister-in-law and especially his neices who we haven’t seen for ages. We are hoping to take a “flight” on the London Eye and have a veggie Indian as well as seeing Spamalot.
That Kilroy-Silk complaint is now being covered by the BBC… For goodness sake. Various commentators claim jeans looked better in the shop than at home over a delighted debate on the red sofa. Must logically be dodgy mirrors, of course!
We watched the Brits, in between flicking over to see the Arsenal Bolton game, which we won 1-3 in the end, with a sneaky goal in the last few seconds of extra time. There were scary mentions of how 1996 was eleven years ago and half the stars were the same people as were there in ‘96 (Oasis, Jarvis, Take That) and the other half scary new people. Muse won a gong, which would good, but Snow Patrol were looked over, which wasn’t. The Arctic Monkeys won a couple, I just don’t them - dressed as Dorothy or otherwise. And Lilly Allen did “do a Craig David” as she feared. Ha ha. The ghastly Joss Stone was the most embarrassing moment of the evening, even more so than the Russell Brand jokes that dropped like lead balloons all around. She wandered round rambling on about ‘big love’ with a fake American drawl and then tried to sing like Amy Winehouse. I can’t stand her…
Anyhoo, enough rambling from me, also, I have a meeting at Addaction and then i need to go in to town. So, may post tomorrow but don’t expect much after that until Monday.
