Still no snow here. We managed a lovely walk around Arlington, skirting the house and heading down to the lakes and trees at the bottom of the park. Henry, my brother’s springer, was in and out of the water all the way round and having a brilliant time! We then headed up to the formal gardens and church, both were very quiet as - we later discovered - there was tree felling going on! We avoided the rain most of the way round, but just as we were commenting on this we got quite wet. We went to warm up over a very pleasant lunch in Ilfracombe.
We are hoping the snow will clear from Buckinghamshire and the south-east over the week so that our trip there next weekend will be able to go ahead. Finger’s crossed, as we are looking forward to seeing Chicken’s siblings and, of course, Spamalot!
There are not many plans for over the weekend, hopefully ordering the rings, going for lunch with Mum today and general laziness. Oh, and shaking off this blooming cough as well!
