Red hot chilli pepper

I have had chilli pepper juice stuck under my right thumb nail since yesterday evening. Jeez, it hurts. I have tried cleaning it, scraping it etc etc, all to no avail. The home-made pizza was almost worth it, though.

It has been a quiet weekend here, yesterday we ventured to evil capitalist shop and spent the rest of the day doing very little other than reading the papers and cooking home-made pizzas. Today, we have just returned from a visit to my Nan’s and plan to spend the rest of the day being lazy.

The most taxing item on my agenda is trying to decide whether to go for the rock or the hard place tonight at nine… Y’see I have formally enjoyed both Waking the Dead and, even more so, Trial & Retribution but they are both now pretty damn awful. The plot summery for WTD seems even more far fetched than the bizarre - and, dare I say it post-Jade, somewhat racist (the Beeb hasn’t realised that “Pikey” is still not a post-modern ironic name for Irish travelers, evidently) - plot of the one a week or so ago. But then i just cannot face T&R since the truly bloody awful Victoria Smurfitt joined the cast. She makes Madonna look like a talented actress she is so extremely bad… So, rock and hard place. Maybe I’ll just read instead!
