Revolutionary Rants

Because Everything's Political

Here we are, then! 2007. New year’s was good, a few games of Pictionary and Monopoly and Jools’ Hootenanny at midnight. Then on January the 1st we all (well, minus Dad and the dogs) headed off to Bristol. We went off to Cribbs Causeway and I had my first ever Starbucks. I felt guilty, but hey we needed that caffeine. Four shots of espresso in Chicken’s case! We then went round the shops in the Mall.

My lovely one treated me to some Body Shop body butter and, best of all, a Shaun the Sheep hot water bottle case, adding to my collection of Wallace and Gromit items! After shopping till dropping we found our Travelodge and then went for a meal at Chiquito. Then, as Mr C had work the next day we rushed him – with mere moments to spare – to the train home.

After a well needed sleep we headed back to Cribbs for T K Maxx, Marks & Sparks and Asda. Then we took Mum to the station so that she could head to my brother Jon’s near Stansted. Alex and I then returned to our place for This Life + 10.

Sadly, this was very disappointing, after all our anticipation. In a way I would rather it was left to the magnificent punch Milly threw at Rachel at the end of series two. Oh well, it will remain probably my favourite series all the same. Another good programme, The Thick of It is also back, but despite no longer having Chris Langham on the books it was still worth watching.

Time to get the Christmas decs down, I reckon.

[...] As my sister Jess points out, the 10 year anniversary ‘This Life + 10‘ was rather the anti-climax we had feared it would be. [...]
