Merry Solstice and/or Chrimbo!

I am a happy bunny indeed, for I am finished working on Barnstaple high street for good. The boredom of the job and the bitchiness of the staff have driven me mental for the past three months but now at long last it is over and done with.

And now it is the Yule season! Chicken enjoyed his work “do” yesterday and found time to get a nice bunch of mistletoe to greet me with on my return. It was my Mum’s birthday, so after working/partying we headed off to the Stags Head Inn in Filleigh for a birthday meal. We had a very pleasant Christmas menu, with Chicken having duck and me a festive veg tart.

Today we are relaxing a bit and doing our cooking. Well, when i say relaxing I really mean cooking! Mr C is poaching a chicken for coronation chicken, we have just iced the cake and C will also be preparing brandy butter. We have been busy bunnies all day so far. Alex is just on his way for a game of Diablo and tomorrow we will all be going with the kids to the panto.

In case I don’t have time to post again I wish you all a merry Christmas/Yule/Solstice and a very happy 2007! Have a good one, folks!

Somehow I had missed the conjunction of the concepts ‘festive’ and ‘veg tart’. Be that as it may, have a great time over the coming days.
Here we have a log fire burning, pastry is being made by a frustrated Macoholic and I am losing my hair with the tension caused by a malfunctioning iMac. On the other hand my new Easyjet mouse seems to be working very well.
The sun shone all day and I decorated the church with lots of ivy, bay laurel and cotoneaster, so absolutely no pagan influence there!! And purchased two carrots for my dad to make stock with.
And suddenly I seem to have acquired a spell checker on this, now how has that come about? No excuses for bad spelling on my part any longer.

Perhaps I should have put it in quotes, as it was called ‘the festive vegetable tart’! Mainly as it had walnuts and cranberries involved (more than veg, actually), I feel.

Is your new mouse orange?!

We will ring to wish Pa/Roger a very happy birthday later on, so probably speak to you then. But, if not, merry Christmas!

P.S. Tickets for ‘Spamalot’ have arrived!

Not orange, but black and silver, and, now I have got it working, very good.
