Revolutionary Rants

Because Everything’s Political

Low winter sun

Sadly, there is no holly nor mistletoe to be had in the wide thickets near the river Taw. Chicken and I headed out after a lazy wake-up at 9:30 and an even lazier sit on the sofa watching Saturday Kitchen (which was fantastic after so many Saturdays of not doing that!) for a cycle along the bank and over the bridge near the new by-pass. The low winter sun was amazing, but the tail-end of the gusty and biting wind of the last week or so was less pleasant! We had hoped to collect some holly and mistletoe to go with our more gaudy decorations, but the only available stuff was where there were lots of people and embarrassment over pruning a tree in public over-took me!

Yesterday we went to see my niece’s nativity play, The Wiggley Nativity, at Swimbridge Jubilee Hall. It was much better than your usual nativity play as there was involvement of the whole class and singing instead only one scared and stumbling little person doing many lines. We also went to the shops, which was nice, and got Mr C a chicken to roast tomorrow.

Well, I am off to run us a bath now, so speak to you later!
