Sorry for the general lack of communication. I have been working a lot recently and I also got a training position for a voluntary job, which I am really pleased about. I’ll be working with individuals with substance (alcohol) abuse issues. My training begins in Bideford tomorrow. Exciting stuff!

The “Christmas” rush is beginning. Probably because everyone thinks they’ll be smart and do all their shopping early! Saying that, most of our shopping is done and all my cards are written out and waiting to be posted. Chicken is leaving his - one gift, for me - until December the 20th when I will be working and he’ll be off.

We have been leading a fairly quiet life, other than working. We went on Wednesday to see Borat… at Barnstaple cinema. We spent most of the film cringing, but it was good if a little long. The scary thing is how horrific the Americans look, even compared to the awful Borat… We have also seen a fair few DVDs, the truly shit American Dreamz (proving once again that Hollywood will never do satire, only shitire), Garden State which is a sweet but all too knowing picture by Scrubs star Zach Braff. I mean, it was fine, a nice way to pass two hours on a Sunday evening, but it wanted to be Donnie Darko but ended up being just kooky and not in a provocative sort of way. What else? Oh yeah, MacLibel which was good but rather too earnest to be interesting. Anyone who eats in MacDonald’s should be made to watch the animal treatment section whilst they eat though!!!!!!!!!

I am now waiting for a package to be delivered. Yawn.
