I had a horrible dream last night. Chicken and I were in York (except it looked nothing like York) to hand in the dreaded dissertation. I had managed to forget to write my abstract (something I did with my first two essays), print it off or bind it… After quite a lot of panic I found myself running up and enormous hill with Mr C running after me shouting me to stop; “it’ll be OK!” Talk about metaphorical… Well, it has inspired me to busy work this morning. Chapter two is re-written (extending it by over a thousand words) and sent off to my supervisor. Chapter one has only minor spelling changes and then I am back on the end of chapter three. Then, there is a brief conclusion to finish and hey-presto. No more Nozick. No more university. Scary? Exciting? Mostly exciting, I’ve been a student long enough. I have written enough about Nozick to last anyone a life-time, I’d say. I’ll miss the old git, but I am also ready to let him go. And let university go. Time to reach the top of the hill. Still got that pretention though, haven’t I? That’ll last a life-time as well! |

The good thing is that these dreams stop about ten or so years after your last exam…
