So is all the world cheer’d by the sun

I think the predicted ‘haevy rain’ is just rolling over Barnstaple. It has been windy all morning and now the sky is going the colour of steel. Chapter Two is now complete, in its first draft, and sent off. I am now at around 12,000 words. Chapter Three is slowly beginning. I was right, the rain is steaking down the window. Oh well, looks like I will just have to stay in and continue reading my book, Thirteen Steps Down. I think Rendell is actually better at writing the non-Wexford mysteries, when she doesn’t have to keep the murder hidden but can slip in to the minds of all the characters involved. I also have a nice Merchant/Ivory to watch, one I haven’t seen, Maurice. A nice treat after a few hundred more words, perhaps… |
