The Omen?

Today is the day that Nostradamous predicted that Satan would rise again. The day of the rerelease of The Omen and the day that we sign for our lovely new house!

So far it is a beautifully sunny day, perhaps already verging on the slightly too hot (which still vastly outweighs the ’slightly too wet’!), and even if I believed in Satan (other than, as Chris would point out if he were here, in the form of Bill Gates…) I could not imagine him bothering to do much other than pottle round his garden today. Although, some say Nortradamous predicted September 11th, so who knows?

It is more pressing to get our house keys today!!! We are very excited, as we will have our first real non-student place together.

Chicken’s first day of work was pretty successful, although he was very tired, and today he was up at 6:45am to get the bus in to town. A bit of a shock to our systems after over three years of late rising (as even when C was at Oracle he could rise at 8:20am as we were so close to TVP!).

But hey, when it is this sunny, you can’t help but feel positive about it all!

For a rational (?) human being you sure do seem to buy in to some weird aspects of popular culture. I seem to remember Nostrodamus’s habit of predicting the end of the world coming up every other year, since I don’t know when. Perhaps it has already happened, or perhaps he was a charlatan as is more generally presumed, his ‘predictions’ being as Derren Brown has been pointing out a load of generalised claptrap.
Oh well, good luck with the new house, mine is working out well, and little bro’, good luck with the new job; maybe a bike would help or better a scooter?

This post was intended to be tinged with a sence of gentle mockery. Obviosuly this was lost in translation…

New house is LOVELY! We are really thrilled with it - hopefully see you for a visit next month.

Little bro doing very well so far, busy and happy despite 6:45am rising time! Trying to get him to start driving lessons again, but is reluctant, and bike will follow with me on the last w/e of June!
