George Galloway really is a prat. He is so obsessed by his own “celebrity” (and that is what he is obsessed with, not his so-called politics) that he will appear on Celebrity Big Brother - the land of has-beens and attention-seekers - and declare bizarre things to any member of the media. Such as, say, that the assination of Tony Blair is justified because of the Iraq war.

Now, as regular readers - or anyone who has probably ever met me for about six seconds or so - will know I am not all t hat fond of Blair myself, he has helped destroy the Labour party, introduced some of the most right-wing policy this country has witnessed (MT apart, of course) and licked a hell of a lot of Yank bum. But, even taking this as granted would I feel justified assinating the shameless creature? Nope. Do I think others are justified? Nope.

Anger is justified, even necessary. But shooting him will make him a martyr (how many people mention the Bay of Pigs when waxing lyrical about JFK?) as well as giving repulsive “parties” such as the BNP a clearer platform than ever before…
