Revolutionary Rants

Because Everything’s Political

Shaken and smoothed

Chicken and I just found the most delicious thing, a fantastic smoothie. They are currently cheap in Sainsbury’s and worth a try! They are my second favourite discovery of the last couple of days, as these are even better!!! We thought the diet should include organic stuff as well, you see, so now I have organic porridge and the like as well!

Enough of food. We have had a drama today in the Sains/Boot household as the-parents-in-law-to-be are currently cruising around Russia and were today in Moscow before flying back to the UK. Frantic calls and texts were fired from the Russian capital when mother-in-law-to-be had her credit cards stolen!!! After brother-in-law-to-be had cancelled all said cards and spoken at lengh to the bank she found them in her bag!!!!!!!!! A relief for all concerned and a few giggles as well.

Also, for you Huddersfieldians out there, try out Mymou (lots of recommendations today), the new bar next to the LBT in town. ‘Tis lovely.

I have to agree that smoothies are great! I mainly stick to Tesco’s own as they’re a little cheaper than the Innocent variety. I’ve yet to try a yoghurt based drink, I may venture there soon!

I bet the credit card fiasco was a bit of a nightmare for all concerned. It must be an awful feeling. Good to hear it got sorted though.

Hmmmm, I really felt it was one of those damn fool moments, but at least it showed the system works and Steve at Nat West Card Protection was very helpful. Oh well, at least there won’t be so many spend opportunities in London, maybe a good thing. Good to know mobiles work in Moscow, even when brain is in back pocket…

Dan - we’ll have to try the Tesco smoothies (probably more likely in Devon as we mainly shop at Tesco there cos it is better and nearer, unlike here in Hudds!), but the Innocnt ones were on offer at the mo and much more reasonable (half price or sommat, I think). The credit card thing was a bit tense making, it must be said! But hey, at least it is all OK in the end!

Chaz - It is good to know that banks CAN be helpful!
