Greenhead returned the Labour candidate, with the BNP gaining the lowest votes. Phew! One BNP elected so far in Kirklees, however, in Heckmondwike. Not good. Bye bye Prezza, as well!!! |

Long time no post… Well, I had my two (5,000 word) essays to hand in, which I did last Wednesday. Then Chicken had his project (better known as his dissertation) to hand in on Friday. And then we went off to Nice for the weekend for his Dad’s 70th birthday party (my big meeting most of C’s family event - scary stuff!). This week I have had an interview and a day in York to be talked at about my dissertation. All go. But I have to post today, after all, we have just had local elections! It is not generally that good. I no longer care about the New (Tory) Labour party or hat they do, but I do care that the BNP have gained ELEVEN F**KING SEATS in Barking and Dagenham. Chicken and I went to vote in the barmy evening yesterday, and had to repress wanting to invalidate our votes by writing ‘who would vote for you?’ over the BNP candidates name - apparently, alot of people. Why? So, you’re annoyned with New Labour and you show this by voting for a racist party which helps inflame all the difficulties we’re having in this country? Great idea. Kirklees has yet to declare, but needless to say I’ll be looking forward to leaving the Greenhead ward if they get in… On another note, the Tories seem very pleased and feel vidicated in their choice of David Cameron (with or without his huskies) as the latest of many leaders. I think maybe they should look back to the previous crushing defeat of New Labout in local elections - and what happened afterwards in the general election… The Lib Dems had a relatively bad night, only gaining a misrable 18 seats - perhaps they should have left the (recovering) alchy in charge? At least people liked him! |
