Back again (it never rains, but it pours…!). I forgot about this - for a nice moment or two - but when I remembered, I thought I needed to write something about it all. I find this report one of the most frightening and repulsive things I have come across in years. 26% is, as my friend at University said yesterday ‘one in four people - that means a lot of my friends actually think that way’. Rape is about one thing: a rapist’s need for power over the person they are raping. Not about mini-skirts, or Bacardi Breezers, or flirting, or how many people someone has slept with. None of those, just power. Reading that report makes me think things like this are all the more important. |
