Back again (it never rains, but it pours…!). I forgot about this - for a nice moment or two - but when I remembered, I thought I needed to write something about it all.

I find this report one of the most frightening and repulsive things I have come across in years. 26% is, as my friend at University said yesterday ‘one in four people - that means a lot of my friends actually think that way’.

Rape is about one thing: a rapist’s need for power over the person they are raping. Not about mini-skirts, or Bacardi Breezers, or flirting, or how many people someone has slept with. None of those, just power.

Reading that report makes me think things like this are all the more important.

I must repeat myself yet again. University is shatteringly tiring, I am working all hours of the day/evening and when I get free time it is for Chicken or my friends to use up.

I don’t really have a huge amount of news, other than tomorrow Chris’ mum and dad are visiting, which is nice - but I’ll be in York all day! Typical.

Also, if you happen to be heading to York at any time soon, and you are looking for a good hostelry, try The Hansom Cab. It is very Victorian in aspect - you think Jack the Ripper might bump in to you on his way to Whitechaple as you enter the door - and serves German and local (Tadcaster) beers for about £1.60 to £2.00! Plus, the bar staff are lovely. Give it a try!
