At the end of the day

Why is it the second day is always worse than the first? The traffic was mad yesterday around Barnstaple, but today it was evil! It is grey and rainy (yesterday was a more ’sunshine and showers’ type thing), I didn’t drive as well and I am very, very very tired. Oh well, never mind - if at second you don’t succeed, try, try again!!! Well, things are quiet here. Tomorrow Mr Chicken arrives, which I am looking forward to. We are thinking - if the weather improves - we may make our way to the caravan. Or, alternatively, go to see ‘Batman Begins’. I now hate Saskia more than anyone else - although I think I actually hate them all; there is no human element in this years show at all! Not even a mad, loud transsexual or lesbian anarchist - I will only be happy when I know I will never hear her say ‘dog eat dog’ or f**king ‘end of’ ever again. Another thing, why do people on telly always say ‘at the end of the day’ so much? Britain’s most hated phrase, according to a poll last year, and yet, there it is again and again and again. So immature… |
