Closure?

Last night Chris and I watched BBC’s ‘One Life’, which was about the children of Wilma McCann, the first known victim of ‘the Yorkshire Ripper’, Peter Sutcliffe. The programme looked at the quest of the, now adult, children of Mrs. McCann to find out more about their mother and her tragic death.

Like so many people, I am fascinated by serial killers. I admit it - horrific though the subject is - I eat up the countless crime programmes (just ask Chicken, he now feels he knows Inspector Morse almost as well as he does my real friends…) and the endless trotting over of unbelievable murders like those committed by Sutcliffe, Brady and Neilsen. I watch, recoil, try to understand what the killer was thinking, the agony of their victims, the knock on affects of their murders, however, last night’s ‘One Life’ left me, and Mr Chicken, feeling angry and saddened.
