I don’t really want to vote for anyone, but I want to vote - maybe just once - so I can say to anyone who says ‘you opt out of society, and its rules, so how can you complain?’ (which you do get quite a lot) that I didn’t: I tried! |

At last! The big day is finally here! Today I will be casting my first vote in a general election. OK, so yes, I can hear the cries of ‘HYPOCRITE!’ already, but if I opt out of voting not only am I cheapening all the arguments I make about people wanting to participate in society and politics, and cheapening all the women that fought to gain the vote, but also - much worse than that - the Tories might get in!!!!!!!!! (but the picture today is a little nod to my true feelings on this subject, and to my comrades who stand by their principles!).
