Well, most of you will have read Chris site already, and seen about about our horror journey home from Huddersfield and that the new Union building ‘the Venue’ is rubbish (seriously, did the designer intend there to be a large support poll right in front of the big screen rendering it impossible to watch the footie in half the place?!). Other than that, we had a really good time, it was great to see everyone again and do some serious boozing with Sandra once again! We were less than pleased with the Arsenal result on Wednesday, so boozing was necessary then, and the next few nights were “for old times sake” (it makes you feel very old when you say that, doesn’t it?). Fun was had by all, anyway, but we were very tired by the end of it! On Friday I went to York, with Andrew, for my interview at the University. I was surprised to be answering lots of questions on the philosophy of Nozick - think I remembered his stuff OK!!! - but I hope I acquitted myself alright. Just waiting for news now… We looked in vain for houses, visiting on both the Thursday and Saturday, but got no where as they were all too small. Luckily Sarah signed us up for her loved-one’s (Andy from Chris’ course) old place, so we are sorted now. Phew! Today I had a job interview, and I think it went quite well. Finger’s crossed! |
